Victor is an old mining town worth a visit, and the best time to go is during one of their festivals like Victor Gold Rush Days.
Location
Victor, Colorado, about an hour from Colorado Springs. Victor is also about 10 minutes from it’s more famous sister city of Cripple Creek.

Another map of Victor.

When
The third weekend in July. There are festivities on Friday Saturday and Sunday.
The town of Victor

During its heyday, Victor was the 5th largest city in Colorado. Sadly today the population is under 500.
There is a positive to this story as the population decline has allowed Victor to maintain its turn of the century (20th) feel.

Victor Gold Rush Days
Gold Rush Days isn’t as festive as Donkey Derby Days in Cripple Creek, but if you are planning to go to Victor, consider the third week of July.

This is the extent of the vendors.

And there was a “band” playing on the stage.

On the way to Cripple Creek, you pass by the Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mine.

Conclusion
Victor Gold Rush Days was all right. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go to it, but if I were in the area the third week of July, I’d consider going back.
