Quito Mariscal Sucre Airport has two airside lounges. Sala VIP Mitad del Mundo serves international flights.
Sala VIP Mitad del Mundo is part of the Priority Pass network.
After you clear immigration and pass through the duty free shop, follow the signs.
There are a number of large seating areas
And even an outdoor seating area.

Food and Beverage
There are a lot of beverage choices including a coffee machine and two kinds of iced cappuccino,

and a variety of juices and a cooler with bottled water and Coke products.

There is a variety of hot and cold food choices, including a salad and fruit bar

shrimp ceviche and even four kinds of sushi.

There were three hot pans including this seco de pollo, chicken stew

and even a made-to-order sandwich station.

If you are up for a drink head to the bar

with a large selection of wines.

Other amenities
If you want to take a nap there is a small sleeping room.

Before you take a nap, you may want to use the single, fairly large shower; you have to ask for a towel at the front desk.

Conclusion
I admit that I have not been to as many lounges as some frequent travelers, but this is one of the top three airport lounges I have ever been in.
**Open 24 hours
**Three hour maximum stay

Hi there,
I am wondering if you can give some insight. I will be travelling from Mexico City to Manta and we need to stop in Quito. We will have about 5 hours to kill so thought it will be nice to take a shower and have something to eat. Since we’re going to arrive internationally then will fly domestic, I am wondering how to access the international VIP lounge to take advantage of the shower. I assume when we land we will arrive at one of the gates, which then we can go and stay for this lounge before exiting security. Are departure and arrival international halls connected? Or need to re enter security?
I have emailed the airport but hasn’t received any response.
Any insight will be helpful.
Thank you!

I only flew directly into and out of Quito via the International terminal so I cannot speak to the Domestic gates. However if I remember correctly, there were separate security checkpoints for International and Domestic gates when departing Quito.
Since you fly into the international gates I would suggest you go directly to the SALA VIP Internacional. I think they changed the name; on the Priority Pass website, there is only a SALA VIP Internacional, but when I looked at the pictures it looks like the same place as the lounge reviewed here. This was a very nice lounge! Good food choices. And there were showers (towels were provided). After getting some food and a shower, I would then go the domestic gates.

Entry not automatic for business class passengers and no other lounges!

Sorry about that, as it is one of my favorite lounges. Having Priority Pass has come in handy for us.
